Can You Help Support Families Impacted by Vital Funding Cuts?
News 22 May 2025
One of our occupiers, Adoption Matters, has launched an urgent appeal following funding cuts to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) – a resource that thousands of families across the UK rely on.
The changes announced by the Department for Education have left many adoptive families without the essential support services they need, including therapeutic care, guidance, and tailored help for children and young people. In response, Adoption Matters has launched an emergency crowdfunder to bridge this gap.
The fundraising appeal has now been extended and will remain open until 15th June 2025. Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards providing practical support for families at risk of losing access to the care they depend on.
As a voluntary adoption agency and children’s charity with a proud 78-year history, Adoption Matters is committed to standing by the families they serve – from the early days of adoption through to adulthood. This fund will help ensure that commitment can continue during a time of deep uncertainty.
