Birchwood Park sees £12 million warehouse development fully let

25 June 2021

Birchwood Park, the North West’s largest out-of-town business destination, has announced its biggest letting in the Park’s history, which also sees phase two of the multi-million-pound Cavendish Warehouse development fully let.

After identifying a significant gap in the market for large, high spec industrial space in the North West, construction began on the second phase of warehouse development in April 2019. The development has provided 170,000 sq.ft of prime industrial warehouse space for businesses in Warrington.

In total, five units in the development have been let to businesses operating across a variety of sectors. The final unit in the new development has been secured in partnership with agents B8 Real Estate and JLL, resulting in a 10-year deal with an online fashion retailer who’s witnessed rapid growth over the past three years.

Over the past 12 months, during the pandemic, the e-commerce fashion sector has grown exponentially. With the trend for online purchases set to continue, the retailer’s new 66,000 sq.ft base at Birchwood Park will allow it to focus on expansion and product development.

Martin O’Rourke, Commercial Director at Birchwood Park, said: “We’re delighted to be increasing our client base within the online retail sector. The North West is known for its entrepreneurial spirt, especially within the fashion sector, and our latest occupier is a great example of that – with such inspirational growth since its launch just three years ago.

“It’s also incredible news the second phase of our Cavendish Warehouse development is now fully let.”
