Charity partnerships renewed for 2021

16 March 2021

The Birchwood Park team is pleased to announce that we will be continuing to support two worthy local charities, St Rocco’s Hospice and Dogs for Good, throughout 2021.

For the first time, we have decided to renew our partnerships and continue providing financial support for the two charities for a second year, in order to maximise our opportunity to raise money for the two worthy causes after fundraising was impacted due to the economic circumstance surrounding COVID-19 in 2020.

Working across Warrington, St Rocco’s Hospice provides its patients with the physical, psychological and emotional support to enable them to carry on living the life they want to live. The charity-run hospice is open to all, and provides free care to those most in need.

We will also continue supporting Dogs for Good, a local charity which trains dogs to help transform the lives of people living with disabilities by providing them freedoms and accessibility they wouldn’t ordinarily have.

Commercial Director Martin O’Rourke had this to say: ‘2020 was a difficult year for everyone and sadly, due to the pandemic, many of our events where the most money is usually raised for our charity partners, had to be postponed.

‘For this reason, we felt it was only right to continue our partnership with St Rocco’s Hospice and Dogs for Good, to help raise awareness for these two worthy causes and to provide as much financial support as possible.’

Martin continued: “The money we will continue to raise will help give families across the region a better life, and we are very optimistic about our fundraising plans for 2021. We’re excited to get back to the ‘new normal’ and hope the whole community will join us in helping to support these fantastic charities”.
