Miller Homes Raises Over £25,000 for The Christie Charity at ‘A Million Dreams’ Ball

News 07 October 2025

Miller Homes North West has raised more than £25,000 for The Christie Charity following the success of its ‘A Million Dreams’ Charity Ball, held at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel on Friday evening.

The glittering event welcomed over 280 guests for an evening of entertainment and fundraising, all in support of The Christie’s latest appeal to purchase a new total body PET-CT scanner. Costing £7 million, the scanner will be the first of its kind in the region, doubling the number of scans available, improving comfort for patients, and reducing waiting times to as little as five days.

Guests enjoyed a live Greatest Showman production, games, live auction, and raffle, with prizes including signed Manchester United and Manchester City shirts, hospitality tickets, and luxury experiences.

Jason Newton, Managing Director of Miller Homes North West, said: “We are incredibly proud of the generosity shown by everyone who attended our ‘A Million Dreams’ Charity Ball. The Christie holds a special place in the hearts of so many across the North West, and it was fantastic to see our colleagues, partners, and guests come together to support this vital cause. The funds raised will make a real difference towards helping The Christie achieve its goal of bringing this pioneering scanner to the region.”

The Christie Charity provides enhanced services and support over and above what the NHS funds, helping thousands of patients and families each year. The new total body PET-CT scanner will be a flagship facility for the North, with a target operational date of April 2026.

Miller Homes would like to thank all sponsors and supporters who donated prizes and helped make the evening a success, including Chasetown Civil Engineering, Prestige Steel, Fabrication, Peak Brickwork, Chandos Civil Engineering, Eurogold Civil Engineering, McAuliffe, Everton Football Club, Bartley Portrait Studios, Manchester United Football Club, Manchester City Football Club, PAS, Palermo, C Plumb, Forshaw Fencing, Stanza Style Interiors, Mears Carpets, and SIPS Mobile Services.
