Summer at Birchwood Park: Making Business a Pleasure

News 11 June 2025
Summer in England can be fleeting, and we know that finding time to enjoy the warmer weather alongside a packed work schedule isn’t always easy.
At Birchwood Park, we help our occupiers find balance throughout the day, especially during the summer months. Our full calendar of seasonal outdoor events, open green spaces, wellbeing-focused amenities and flexible workspaces not only gives individuals the chance to recharge, but also helps teams grow stronger by fostering better communication, deeper collaboration, and a more productive workplace.
Supporting summer wellbeing
From tranquil lakeside paths to beautifully landscaped green spaces, our Park is built to support the mental and physical wellbeing of everyone who works here. Weekly mindful walks offer the opportunity to take a short, screen-free break, reconnect with nature, and return to work refreshed. Held every Wednesday, the walks take you on a scenic route around the park and last just 20 minutes, enough time to reset without disrupting your day.
Research indicates that taking short breaks outdoors can significantly boost productivity, enhance attention and creativity, and reduce mental fatigue. By offering a chance to reset, lower stress levels, and regain perspective, these breaks not only benefit individuals but also contribute to healthier, more effective organisations.
Those looking to stay more active can make the most of our Park’s Alive & Well gym, which offers a full range of facilities and daily fitness sessions. We’ll also be holding our annual Bike to Work Week event from 9th – 13th June, which will feature bike safety checks and tune ups from Cheshire Cycles, and free advice and giveaways from Travel Warrington to encourage more active travel.
On 18th June, the 5K Summer Fun Run invites teams and individuals to run, jog or walk the Birchwood Park Loop. It’s a low-pressure, high-fun event with prizes for best fancy dress, team effort, and top finishers.
Wellbeing continues on 12th July with the return of the Warrington Wellbeing Festival, hosted on site and open to all, no matter your age or ability. The day will be packed with feel-good activities, from energising yoga sessions and calming breathwork to expert-led nutrition talks and activity groups for kids and teens.
Savouring the taste of summer
Our events calendar also includes a number of food-focused experiences that bring the community together. The Summer BBQs, taking place on 25th June and 10th July, are always a Park favourite, offering classic grilled dishes and a relaxed, social setting. For teams looking to host their own, BBQs and picnics can also be booked privately throughout the summer.
The culinary calendar continues with National Fish & Chips Day on 6th June, complete with a celebratory glass of fizz or Peroni for those interested in a tipple. On 2nd July, Chadwick Café will host a Root & Stem salad bar pop-up, ideal for those in search of a lighter lunch option. For something more indulgent, a Pizza Party on 23rd July brings together woodfired pizza, music and lawn games.
From 6th to 15th July, Wimbledon comes to Birchwood Park with live screenings so you can keep up with the action without missing a step at work. Gather your team to enjoy strawberries and cream, themed summer bakes, and a pop-up Pimm’s Bar on 7th and 14th July – an ideal lunchtime escape that brings a taste of Centre Court to your day.
Culture, comedy and community events
Summer at the Park isn’t just about food and fitness – it’s about connection and finding pockets of peace. On 18th June, occupiers and their families can enjoy a special screening of Wonka, held in The Generator. With complimentary drinks, cinema snacks and parking, the event is in support of Motor Neurone Disease awareness, with the Park lit up in blue and orange for Global MND Awareness Day.
Later in the season, the Frog & Bucket Comedy Club returns to our Park on 25th July. Featuring four stand-up acts, it’s the perfect way to kick off a summer weekend with a laugh between colleagues or friends.
Productive summer spaces
We understand that work keeps moving for Birchwood Park’s occupiers, even during the summer months. Whether you’re planning, presenting, or hosting a strategy session, the EngineRooms provide flexible, air-conditioned meeting spaces for groups ranging from 2 to 150.
From 21st July to 29th August, occupiers can take advantage of 50% off on full-day meeting room hire. Featuring adaptable layouts, modern AV technology, and full onsite catering, the EngineRooms offers the perfect environment to stay productive and flex to your company’s needs – whatever the weather.
Work-life balance that lasts beyond summer
As the seasons change, Birchwood Park continues to offer an environment where wellbeing and work go hand in hand. From everyday moments of calm to opportunities for connection and movement, the Park is designed to support a balanced lifestyle all year.
After all, it’s not just about where you work, but how you feel while you’re there.
