The North West’s nuclear sector currently supports 13,000+ direct and 100,000+ indirect jobs, with a projected 49% increase in employment by 2030.
The industry contributes £5bn in direct spend and £4.9bn GVA to the regional economy, set to rise to £15bn by 2030.

Nuclear Industry Fuels North West’s Future With A Boost In Warrington Jobs

• Warrington, home to Birchwood Park, sees nuclear employment rise to 5,411, a 14% increase from 2023 (NIA Jobs Map, 2024)
• Nuclear jobs in and around the Cheshire and Warrington region grows to 6,771, a 16% increase from 2023.

Birchwood Park Celebrates Successful First Half of 2024

Following completion of the next stage in our major refurbishment project of our flagship building, the North we have maintained high occupancy and welcomed a number of new businesses in the first half of 2024.
42 renewals and 13 new businesses joined our Park, while the small suites offices also enjoyed continued success – achieving an all-time high of 98% occupancy.
Our Park also welcomed a number of new occupiers to its larger office spaces, including Persimmon Homes and Gleeds.
• Alongside commercial accomplishments, the Park recently raised over £4,500 for non-profit organisation, Peace and Mind UK.
