Is your company looking to engage with local schools?
News 26 June 2026
King’s Leadership Academy, Warrington is looking for business to help them with their Future World of Work event.
If you are interested in partnering with King’s for their future “World of Work” carousel events (dates to be confirmed) Years 7–10, please take a look at the details they have shared below:
We are actively seeking new employers and organisations to support us in developing a programme that broadens students’ horizons, raises aspirations, and gives young people meaningful exposure to the real world of work. Many of our students have limited direct experience of workplaces, and opportunities like this have a significant impact on their understanding of future pathways and the possibilities available to them.
At King’s, we are committed to fostering the values of aspiration, achievement, self-awareness, integrity, respect, and endeavour. We believe that direct engagement with employers is one of the most powerful ways to bring these values to life and to help students make informed, confident decisions about their futures.
We would therefore like to invite your organisation to take part in a carousel-style careers event, where students rotate through a series of employer-led sessions throughout the day.
Each employer would deliver a 1-hour interactive session repeated 6 times to different student groups. The most successful sessions tend to include:
- An overview of your organisation and the variety of roles within it
- Real examples of different job roles and how they work together
- The skills, qualities, and attitudes valued in your sector
- A “day in the life” of your workplace
- Interactive tasks, challenges, or scenarios linked to real work
- Opportunities for students to ask questions and engage directly
- A takeaway resource or summary of careers in your sector (if possible)
The aim is to make each session as engaging, practical, and inspiring as possible so students can really see themselves in different careers.
Proposed structure for the day:
- 08:00 – Arrival (tea/coffee in the library)
- 08:30–09:30 – Session 1
- 09:30–10:30 – Session 2
- 10:30–10:45 – Break (refreshments provided)
- 10:45–11:45 – Session 3
- 11:45–12:45 – Session 4
- 12:45–14:00 – Lunch provided
- 14:00–15:00 – Session 5
- 15:00–16:00 – Session 6
If you are able to support us, we would be extremely grateful. Your involvement would play a valuable role in shaping students’ understanding of your industry and could help inspire future applicants and talent from our local area.
Thank you very much for considering this request. We truly appreciate any support you are able to offer and would be delighted to welcome you into school.
