M62 Risley Manse bridge repairs July to October

North West maintenance schemes – National Highways:
We’ll soon be undertaking work on the M62 Risley Manse bridge in Warrington.
The structure is located between junction 10 and 11 of the M62 and carries A574 Warrington Road traffic over the motorway.
Our work involves replacing bridge joints and concrete repairs underneath the structure. Due to the nature of our work and for safety, there’ll be a traffic restriction on the bridge.
Monday 14 July until early October 2025
To ensure the traffic restriction is complied with, there’ll be 24-hour two-way traffic lights with single lane running on the A574 Warrington Road.
Additionally, we will require overnight lane closures in both directions of the M62 under the structure for the concrete repair works.
Working in this way means we can keep the motorway and bridge open during our essential work.
However, the temporary traffic lights may unfortunately result in some delays, especially at peak times. We are advising drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time to complete journeys.
Our work will also create some noise. We’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we will be taking all reasonable precautions to limit noise nuisance.
